Make a difference

Join us in our mission of transforming the lives of Houston’s vulnerable youth.

Eight Million Stories is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit based in Texas. Your support is 100% tax-deductible. Be sure to keep a receipt of your contribution for your records.

We believe that when young people—particularly those who have been excluded from traditional education systems—are provided with equitable opportunities to complete their education and access sustainable, meaningful employment, they are better positioned to thrive. By investing in youth who have been impacted by the justice system, we can contribute to a significant reduction in recidivism and support their successful transition into adulthood.

Additionally, the success of our model offers school districts a collaborative framework for creating inclusive, alternative pathways for students whose needs are not fully met by conventional school settings. Together, we can build more responsive, affirming systems that recognize the potential of all young people and support their full participation in society.

Smaller numbers, but a deeper impact.

At 8 Million Stories, we believe in the power of community and the individual. Together, we can support the youth of our community in becoming their best selves, in making the changes they want to see in their communities, and in building their futures.

Your donations help us meet this goal through everything from uniform purchases to textbooks to snacks for the road. No matter how much you can spare, your donation helps us build a better tomorrow for vulnerable youth in our community. So let us be the first to say: thank you.
